The results of All India Bar Examination (AIBE 18) have been declared today by the Bar Council of India (BCI). Candidates who appeared in the examination for the 18th time can check their result by visiting allindiabarexnation.com or barcouncilofindia.org.

Notably, the All India Bar Examination conducted twice a year by the BCI is a certification examination for law graduates wishing to start practicing the profession as lawyers. As stated on its official website, BCI conducts the examination as an open book examination at 140 centers in 50 cities. The purpose behind the examination is to assess the basic level of knowledge of a member and to set the minimum standards for practicing law.

Notably, candidates who have passed AIBE 18 will now be entitled to certain benefits. In this article, we’ll take a look at the top five benefits of those who pass the exam and how things change for them later in their legal careers:
1. Certificate of Practice (COP):
Candidates who qualify AIBE are awarded a practicing certificate by the Bar Council of India, which enables them to participate in court hearings in any tribunal courts and administrative bodies.

Once the practicing certificate is obtained, lawyers will be able to represent clients in Indian courts, COP is an essential component for legal practice.

It is noteworthy that the 18th examination of the council was conducted on 10 December 2023 at various examination centers across the country. The provisional answer key was released on December 12, 2023 and a window was given between December 13 and 20 to raise objections.
