UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam is one of the toughest exams that a student has to prepare for. Lakhs of ambitious candidates appear for this examination but only a few are able to qualify it. In that regard, AyraNews24x7 team had an exclusive chat with two UPSC aspirants, discussed their strategies and how they want to crack the exam.
Many students start preparing for UPSC exam from the days of their graduation or even before. The AyraNews24x7 team met two candidates, Pallavi and Rohit, and asked them about their experiences so far along with their strategies to crack the exam.
Pallavi revealed that she is aiming to give the UPSC exam in 2025 and is preparing for it with a simple strategy. Currently, she is focusing on her optional subject. According to Pallavi, if she qualifies the prelims, she will get only three months to prepare for the main exam. He said he would take four more months to complete his optional subject syllabus, making a total of six months of preparation. But she will not be able to give that much time, as she has to pursue her preparation with the subjects of General Studies and Current Affairs. He made this strategy to complete his optional subject syllabus in advance so that he only needed to revise it while preparing for the main exam.
Rohit revealed that he has already appeared for the exam twice and knows what to prioritize while studying. He says that if your English is good then preparation becomes easy, because good books are available in English language.
Talking about her schedule, Pallavi said that she takes a fifteen-minute break before starting the next subject. She starts her classes at 11 am, which end by 5 pm. After her classes, she takes a break of two and a half hours and then focuses on self study. Rohit studies for three hours in the morning and then goes to work. After returning he rests for two and a half hours, then starts studying at 6 pm and continues studying till midnight.
