Hit Netflix British drama series adolescence has talked around the world how online spaces are affecting young boys today.
The four-episode Minisries created by Jack Thorn and Stephen Graham follows the story of 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who was played by Owen Cooper, who was arrested for killing a classmate. Owen Cooper on not seeing adolescence
Owen Cooper, who plays Jamie, recently opened about the series in an interview with the Hollywood reporter. He shared that he has not seen the entire show yet, joking in joking, looking at onscreen, especially in schools, feels like his “worst dreams”.
“I still have not seen it either. I just don’t like to see myself. And now Jack says it is going to schools … It is my worst dream!” Cooper said that he had “no clue” about the deep side of the Internet, where young boys are affected by harmful online trends.
The young actor said, “I was happy that I had no idea what was going on-Immosis and the meaning behind them. I had no clue. And I don’t think my friends knew, but it was clearly happening across the country. It’s not a story created.”
