Former Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit president Saurabh Bhardwaj has said that he offered to arrest three times during the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding money laundering investigation in alleged irregularities in hospital construction projects in the national capital.
“I told the ED teams that if they want to arrest me, they can do them three times. I proposed him three times … I am a follower of Arvind Kejriwal. I will not work as per your wish … I will hold a press conference tomorrow … They can arrest me even after the press conference,”
In connection with the case, raids were conducted at 13 places including Bhardwaz’s residence in the Delhi-NCR region on the basis of a certain tip-off. The search operation was done under Section 17 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 (PMLA).
These discoveries are in relation to the ECIR recorded in the construction scam of Delhi Hospital, which belongs to FIR number 37/2025 dated 26.06.2025, which are against former GNCT health ministers with Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB), Delhi Police, with private contractors and unknown government officials.
AAP leader and former Chief Minister Atisi alleged that the purpose of the 20 -hour discovery of the Enforcement Directorate at the residence of Delhi AAP President Saurabh Bhardwaj was to draw attention and said that BJP is afraid of AAP.
“Ed made a discovery at Saurabh Bhardwaj’s residence for 20 hours. Why was there a raid at Saurabh Bhardwaj’s residence? … These raids were only done to draw attention … AAP’s strength is that it never bowed down, and similarly AAP said that AAP said that a leader said that a leader said.
The Modi government wants to suppress our voice. This will never happen.
I told ED teams that if they want to arrest me, they can.
Earlier, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal slammed the ED and the central government on the raid, called it “another case of the misused agencies of the Modi government”.
“The Modi government has gone after the Aam Aadmi Party. The way the AAP is being targeted has never been done for any party in history. AAP is being targeted as it is the most vocal voice against the wrong policies and corrupt deeds of the Modi government. The Modi government is not suppressing our voice. As always in the country, the former CM Kejriwal said in a post on X.
