Aamir Khan is reportedly in discussions with acclaimed director Lokesh Kanagaraj for his next film. According to the latest report in AIR, the Bollywood superstar is keen to collaborate with the director for a pan-India project. Will Aamir be in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s next film?
The report was shared by Telugu portal Akashavani on its official X account on Sunday. The caption read, “Big news – A mindblowing combo!! #AamirKhan, #LokeshKnagaraj and #MythriMovies are teaming up for a pan India film soon. As per our very reliable sources, the project is confirmed.”
Further details revealed that Aamir, Lokesh and Mythri Movies “are in talks to team up for a pan-India film very soon. If everything goes well, we may make an official announcement soon.”

Reacting to the report, a fan commented: “Aamir is back. Atlee x Shah Rukh, Wanga x Ranbir, now Lokesh x Aamir!” A fan said, “The comeback is loading!” A comment read, “This is a good move. Lokesh is following the Atlee path.”
Lokesh’s last directorial venture was Leo, starring Vijay and released in 2023. The film was the third installment of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe and was a blockbuster at the box office. Lokesh has also directed Maanagaram, Kaithi and Vikram. He is currently shooting for his upcoming film Coolie.
Meanwhile, Aamir recently produced his ex-wife Kiran Rao’s film ‘Missing Ladies’. The film, which is based on gender equality, was screened at the Supreme Court of India on August 9. Aamir was present at the screening and Kiran shared pictures from the special evening on her Instagram.
Fans will next see Aamir in the film ‘Sitar Zameen Par’ which will be based on Down syndrome.
