New Delhi, April 13 (PTI) The Bureau of Aircraft Investigation (AAIB) plans to introduce a system to complete the phenomenon related to the aircraft and accidents in the Indian aircraft based on various parameters.
Come under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, AAIB is responsible for the classification of safety events involving accidents, serious events and aircraft operating in Indian airspace.
It conducts a detailed investigation into accidents and also suggests measures to improve security.
A senior official told PTI that AAIB would purchase software to complete the granular analysis of data.
Data related to events including events and accidents can be analyzed based on various parameters such as time period, hard landing, airfields, operators and aircraft types, the official said.
The official also said that such analysis would be helpful in preventing possible events in future.
For example, if analysis suggests that there are frequent events in a particular airspace, steps can be taken accordingly to reduce risks.
Meanwhile, the agency is working on increasing its capabilities and set up a flight recorder laboratory.
In addition, AAIB is in the process of recruitment of five advisors – two for each safety check and technical (flight recorder laboratory), and for the prevention of an accident.
“According to Rule 3 of the aircraft (investigating accidents and events), the sole purpose of the 2017 AAIB investigation is the prevention of accidents and events and not for defects or liability,” according to your website.
