Actor Arjun Bijlani’s father-in-law Rakesh Chandra Swamy passed away at the age of 73 after suffering a stroke. The actor had returned from the ongoing New Year holidays in Dubai after being admitted to the ICU on Monday. The actor was seen getting emotional at the funeral on Thursday as he performed the last rites in the presence of family members.
Arjun became emotional at his father-in-law’s funeral
In a video surfaced on Instagram, Arjun is seen hugging his son at Rakesh’s funeral. He held her tightly and consoled her emotionally. Arjun also turned pale and lifted Rakesh’s dead body on his shoulders.
A family member confirmed the news to HT City and told, “He was fit and fine, ready to eat dinner when suddenly he had a stroke and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was on a ventilator. The entire family is in shock, as Neha and Arjun met the family before the flight. It was a sudden shock, and we all are still grappling with the situation.”
His last rites took place on Thursday afternoon at Oshiwara crematorium in the presence of family members. Rakesh Chandra Swamy is survived by his daughter Neha Swamy and son Nishank Swamy.
