IIM Mumbai said the course aims to provide Indian youth with advanced digital and managerial skills required for the future job market.
The UG course will be held at the Pune campus of IIM Mumbai.
Following the example of IIM Bangalore, IIM Mumbai has started graduate programmes. The institute now offers four-year undergraduate programs in Digital Science and Business Management. IIM said the course aims to provide Indian youth with advanced digital and managerial skills required for the future job market.
The curriculum integrates emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Internet of Things and Robotics with core management areas such as operations, marketing, finance and manufacturing.
The program has been designed in full alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), providing flexibility through multiple entry and exit options, thus making it inclusive and future-oriented.
“Conceived with leading knowledge partners like C4i4 and multiple industry collaborators, the program integrates strong practical and experiential components. IIM Mumbai is also collaborating with the Accenture strategy to incorporate internship-based learning and real-life industry applications, allowing students to experience contemporary digital business challenges,” the official notice said.
“Discussions are ongoing with IMT France to explore international collaboration to provide students with global perspectives and academic enrichment opportunities. Designed in full alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), the program offers flexibility through multiple entry and exit options, making it inclusive and future-oriented.”
Courses offered at Pune campus
The graduate program will be offered from the Pune campus of IIM Mumbai, which will act as an extension of the main campus. Pune Municipal Corporation has agreed to provide a building for the purpose, which will be renovated to meet operational and academic standards. The facility will accommodate teaching and academic activities related to the graduate programme. IIM Mumbai said the Pune campus will help the institute expand access to quality undergraduate education while maintaining its academic standards and institutional values.
