Is Android better or iPhone? The debate never ends, and most of the times the iPhone wins. The reason for iPhone being number 1 is its security and safety. However, looking at a report, it seems that this trend may change as the first banking trojan has been designed to target iPhone users. According to a new report by Group-IB, the Android Trojan Golddigger has now been modified with new capabilities that allow this malware to easily drain victims’ bank accounts.
This Trojan was first detected last October, the new version of the Trojan has been named GoldPickaxe, which is specifically designed for both Android and iOS devices.

Once installed on an iPhone or Android phone, Goldpickaxe can collect a user’s facial data, identity documents and intercepted text messages, making it easier to withdraw money from banking and other financial apps.
Apart from this, the scary thing is that this virus creates AI deepfakes using biometric data. Then, using a combination of identity documents, access to SMS, and Face ID data, the hacker behind the program can gain access to the victim’s iPhone and their banking apps.
