Photo: Realme P4 ProRealme is preparing to launch its new P-series smartphone in India. The company has released a new teaser, in which a big ‘X’ is visible on the screen. Although the teaser does not give much information, it is clear that the brand is going to add a new model to the P-series soon. Meanwhile, a new Realme phone has also appeared on Geekbench with model number RMX5108, which has further intensified the speculations.
According to the Geekbench listing, the RMX5108 model is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek processor, in which four cores run at 2.60GHz and four at 2.00GHz. Mali-G615 MC2 GPU is provided with it. Looking at these specs, it is believed that it could be MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset.
The phone also shows 8GB RAM and support for Android 15 in the listing. However, it is not yet decided what will be the name of this phone at the time of launch.
Preparation to launch a new model in Realme P-Series
Realme’s P-series currently includes two phones – Realme P4 and Realme P4 Pro, which were launched in August at a price of ₹ 14,999 and ₹ 19,999.
The new teaser hints that Realme is possibly bringing a model that could be priced below the P4. It is expected that this new phone will be launched in India by the end of this month and will be available for sale on Flipkart, as was the case with the previous phones of the P-series.
Is the RMX5108 this new P-Series phone?
It is not clear whether the phone shown in the teaser and the RMX5108 shown on Geekbench are the same device or not. The timeline of both definitely matches, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
The ‘X’ seen in the teaser also indicates that this phone may be launched with the name Realme P4x, which will be the successor to the earlier Realme P3x.
How was Realme P3x?
Realme P3x 5G was launched in India for ₹ 13,999. It had a 6.72-inch Full HD+ LCD display, 120Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, 6,000mAh battery and 50MP main camera. The new model may come with better performance and upgraded features.
