Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2026 for admission to classes 9 and 11 will be conducted on February 7 from 11 am to 1:30 pm.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has once again extended the registration deadline for admission to classes 9 and 11. Applications can now be submitted till October 23. Earlier the last date to apply was October 21. The registration form is available on the official website cbseitms.nic.in. The application correction window will be open from October 24 to 26.
The official notice reads, “The last date for submission of online applications for Class IX LEST 2026 has been extended to 23.10.2025. The correction window will be open from 24.10.2025 to 26.10.2025. Registered candidates can make corrections in region/gender/category/medium of examination/disability only.”

JNVST Admission 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Students must be bona fide residents of the district where they wish to apply and should be studying in the same district. Applicants for class 9 must be born between 1 May 2011 to 31 July 2013 (inclusive). They must be currently enrolled in class 8 in a government or government recognized school.
Applicants for Class 11 must be studying in Class 10 in a government or government recognized school in the same NVS district where admission is sought. Candidates should be born between 1st June 2009 to 31st July 2011.

step 2. Read the notification and guidelines for your respective class thoroughly before applying.
step 3. Fill the required information as per the instructions.
step 4. Upload the required documents.
Step 5. Submit the application once all the information and documents are filled correctly.
jnvst exam pattern
Navodaya Vidyalaya has released the entrance exam pattern and syllabus. The exam will last for two hours 30 minutes, with an additional 50 minutes for students with disabilities. There will be 100 objective type questions.
The Class 6 entrance exam will consist of 15 questions in English, 35 questions in Mathematics and 35 questions in General Knowledge. Meanwhile, the Class 11 entrance exam will have 20 questions each on Mental Ability, English, Science, Social Science and Mathematics.
