Police said on Thursday that four people were injured after a car was drove on the members of the public outside an addition to the north of Manchester.
The incident, which took place on Yom Kippur, one of the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, was believed to have been shot by the police, after a man, as a criminal.
In a series of posts on X, the Greater Manchester Police said he was called by a member of the public shortly after 9:30 pm in the Heton Park Hebrew Congressman Sinagog in Serpsal, who said that he was being taken to the members of the public and a person was stabbed.
Police said that after minutes, shots were removed by the firearm authorities.
“A man is shot, it is believed that the culprit,” said this.
It said that four people were being treated for injuries caused by both vehicle and knife wounds.
Police said that this “Plato was declared,” the National Code-word is used by police and emergency services, when responding to a “terrorist attack”. This does not mean that it has been declared a terrorist incident.
Mayor Andy Bernham, the Greater Manchester region, told BBC Radio that “the immediate danger is over.”
Manchester was the site of Britain’s deadliest attack in recent years, in 2017, an Ariana Grande concert that killed 22 people.
UK PM Stmper Reaction
The UK Prime Minister Kir Stmper reacted to the incident, posting on X, “I am happy with an attack in an adhopel in Kitrapsaul.”
“The fact that it is on Yom Kipping the most sacred day in the Jewish calendar makes it all more frightening,” he said.
“My views are with the loved ones of all those affected, and my thanks go to emergency services and all the respondents,” the stormer said.
