After the start of the railway line from Srinagar to Katra, the Indian Railways is preparing to increase the frequency of trains there. These trains will connect the surrounding small towns to Srinagar. For this, along with increasing the capacity of tracks, coaches are also being upgraded.
The work of upgrading coaches is not being done in big cities like Delhi Mumbai in Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh. The coaches are being transported from Budgam to Lucknow factory and upgraded with modern facilities there. Since these coaches were old and there was no arrangement to upgrade there, due to which these coaches were getting in poor condition. For the first time, rakes from the valley have been brought to Lucknow via rail. Road trailers are also being used when needed.
According to the Railway Ministry, the work of upgrading the coaches is being done very fast. The work of upgrading all coaches by August end is likely to be completed.
Bio tanks are being installed in the toilet. Also, fitting of new pumps that offer water is being done. Adequate electrical and switch panels are being automated for the supply of water -placing equipment. Due to this, even if there is no supply of generators in the summer season, water will continue to climb.
With the installation of new standing handles, PVC flooring is being renovated and all stainless steel items are being buffed up.
A and C type mobile charging sockets (inbuilt short circuits) and modular switches are being installed for feathers.
