Former-governor Andrew Kuomo has been designed to declare an independent dialect for the mayor of New York City, already ruled by political upset in a high-day race of size, which moves the loyalty, and is deeply divided on the future of the city.
Sources told the newsnament that despite suggesting a difficult fight in the recent elections, Cumo will officially launch its independent campaign in the coming days.
“There will be an official announcement soon,” Kuomo spokesman Richman Azofardi confirmed the New York Post on Sunday. He also claimed that Cumo is currently a “major option” for Democratic candidate Zoharan Mamdani.
Cuomo’s big inquiry
But the return of the cumo comes with a turn.
A source close to the former governor told the newsnation that he would release a public challenge to all the remaining candidates-including Mayor Eric Adams-they urge to leave them by mid-September if they are not pioneers in elections.
The treaty would exclude Mammadani, a Democratic Socialist and a member of the Queens Assembly, who defeated Kuoomo in Democratic Primary.
Adams rejected Cumo’s move: “Are you joking with me?”
Mayor Eric Edams, who is also running as an independent after being removed from Democratic Primary in April, was angered by Cumo’s strategy.
“We are moving directly. It is so important that we continue to move forward,” Adams told reporters on Sunday.
Asked if he would consider stepping aside for Kuoomo, Adams clearly responded: “Are you joking with me? I didn’t lose in primary.”
Although Adams was not a primary candidate due to his independent status, he has emphasized that the low turnout in the Democratic Competition does not reflect wide public support for the case.
Kuomo vs. Adams: independent performance in November
Now running independently with both Cumo and Adams, the November 4 general election is a fierce three-way race between two former Democratic Heavyweight and Mammadani, which has formed a ground level alliance on promises of freezing and rich in rent.
Adams, whose campaign was revived after dismissing federal corruption charges, says they have planned to register 1 million new voters and have seen renewed support from business leaders from careful business leaders from Mamdani platform.
Meanwhile, Cuomo, Moderate, are betting on the last minute revaluation of the business interests and unspecified voters.
