Shad shared that when Rani was always the top pick for Baballi, Bunty’s role was initially introduced to Hrithik. He recalled, “Yes, we met Hrithik because he was our first choice. We were sitting with him for a few months. Rakesh ji (Rakesh Roshan) loved the script and was curious that Hrithik should sign the film.”

Stating why Hrithik finally turned down the role, Shad said, “Hrithik was not very comfortable to enter the small town at that time. He later did a great job in it in Super 30 (2019), however, thereafter, he had reservation, however, there were many creative views for the film. Superman!
