The apex court provided interim security to Ranveer Allabia on the comments made during a YouTube show and ordered him to submit his passport.
The Supreme Court on Monday visited the investigation regarding podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia and said that it would hear his petition for his passport return in the case of uninterrupted comments on a YouTube show on 28 April.
On 18 February, the apex court saved Allahabadia from arrest in several FIRs filed on its comments during the YouTube show and directed him to submit his passport with the investigating officer of Police Station Nodal Cyber Police, Thane.
A bench of Justices Surya Kant and N. Kotiswar Singh said that it would consider the petition of Alladia on 28 April.
During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, attended for Assam and Maharashtra Police, said in Guwahati Deedar, a statement of a co-accused will be recorded, while the investigation in connection with the FIR in Mumbai was completed, but a charge sheet was filed so far.
The bench recorded Mehta’s statement and saw that the investigation qualification Allahabadia was completed.
On March 3, the apex court allowed Allahabadia to re -launch its podcast “The Ranveer Show” to maintain “morality and decency” and make suitable for audiences of all ages.
Allahbadia, known as Beerbiseps, was booked for her comments on her parents and had sex on Comic Sam Raina’s YouTube show “India’s Got Latent”.
The apex court initially barred Allahabadia from broadcasting any program of its podcast, which had a direct or indirect impact on the properties of sub-judicial matters, including him.
On 18 February, the apex court provided interim security from arrest to Allahbadia, calling its comments “vulgar” and said that they had “dirty minds” which kept the society ashamed.
Apart from Allahabadia and Raina, other people named in Assam are comics Ashish Chanchalani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija.
