Federal judges in Brownsville, Texas and Manhattan ruled on Wednesday that the government could not immediately deport men to be held in custody facilities in their areas.
Two latest cases want to build on the US Supreme Court’s decision this week. Most Justice participated in the earlier dispute with the Trump administration, but also clearly stated that the detainees removed under foreign enemies had an opportunity to notice and challenge their exile before taking out the detainees.
In the New York case, US District Judge Alvin Helvstein said on Wednesday that he would issue an order on 15 March, stopping the exile of the men organized by President Donald Trump, which announced members of the Train Day Argua gang of an attack force against the US. Their decision applies to prisoners facing exile under the Act in the jails of New York region.
In Texas, American District Judge Fernando Rodriguez on Wednesday entered an order stopping the exile of persons held at a detention center in Remondville. It was not clear how many prisoners would be affected, but at least apply to three men who had registered a challenge before.
Both orders are set to end at the end of this month as judges decide whether to implement a long -term stop on exile.
