Rekha’s masterclass in elegance
Rekha chose a pearl white silk saree for the outing. Silk sarees are synonymous with the veteran actor – whose wardrobe is filled with attractive drapes. For the occasion, she wore a simple dress in the traditional style, with the pallu falling from her shoulders and neatly pleated at the front. She wore the nine yards with a matching blouse featuring a crew neckline, half-length sleeves, cropped hem and a fitted silhouette.
Rekha styled the silk saree with a cream colored silk dupatta on her shoulder. It has latkan work and intricate gold embroidery on the border. For accessories, Rekha opted for statement gold jhumkis, a hand kadha, a potli bag adorned with golden embellishments and pendant embellishments, tinted sunglasses, a ring and gold Kolhapuri style block heels.
With her hair tied in a centre-parted braided bun, Rekha opted for dark eyebrows, bright red lip shade, matching red nails, a red bindi, rouge-tinted cheeks and a luminous base for the glam pics.
How did the internet react?
Under the paparazzi video, fans showered Rekha with praise. One fan called the veteran star an ‘eternal beauty,’ and another wrote, “Grace never goes out of style.” One comment read, “Beauty queen.” Another said, “She has aged like a fine wine.”
Rekha’s beauty secret
Apart from her excellent collection of sarees, Rekha is also known for her beauty. In an old interview with Asia Spa India, the veteran actor revealed the ‘essential beauty rituals’ that she follows.
“Age as a number does not figure into my thoughts. Good genes help, and good thoughts help more. You become what you believe. Although I am no authority, I can only share what works for me. Practically, one should eat before 7.30 pm,” she revealed.
“And it’s not just about what you eat, but also how you eat, its presentation, portions, the right environment and even your frame of mind affects what you do. Must be complementary. For example, when you have to eat food or do yoga and you do not have enough time, do not hurry in it, otherwise the results can be adverse. Drinks a lot of water. Sleep in a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful environment. Love with all your heart. Last, but not least, pray to your soul,” he said.
