New Delhi: Hamas launched a deadly attack on Israel on 7 October 2023. Just two days after this attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a vow – ‘We will change the face of the Middle East.’ Netanyahu’s pledge included three major decisions like eliminating Hamas, breaking the back of Hezbollah in Lebanon and taking back the Golan Heights in Syria. Netanyahu prepared a strategy for this. To fulfill his oath, he worked day and night. And the situation today is that he has changed the face of the Middle East. Broke the back of Hamas in Gaza. Brought Hezbollah to its knees in Lebanon. Now Israel has shown its strength by capturing the Golan Heights in Syria. These developments in the Middle East have reminded Netanyahu of his year-old vow.
Israel’s action against Hamas and Hezbollah is not just a fight for security. Rather, it has also ended Iran’s dominance. History is witness to Iran’s dominance extending from the Persian Gulf to Lebanon via Iraq and Syria. By actively participating in these military conflicts, Netanyahu wants to establish Israel as the biggest power in the region. Today Israel has proved that if it wants to alone, it can fulfill its objective by fighting a war on many fronts. To a large extent, Israel has succeeded in its plans in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
Israeli action in Gaza
More than 1100 Israeli people were killed in the Hamas attack. Just two days after this attack, Netanyahu had vowed to eliminate Hamas and vowed to hoist the Israeli flag on Gaza. Regarding that decision, Netanyahu recently said that my and the security cabinet’s first decision was to first focus on the South and then on the North. This means eliminating the power of Hamas in Gaza in the south and breaking the back of Hezbollah in the north. Netanyahu said that we are now working to destroy Hamas’s remaining military capabilities and all of its governance capabilities and to bring back the hostages, and I emphasize that we will also bring back the last hostage.
Hamas’s broken back in Gaza
Since the attack of October 7, 2023, Israel has created havoc in Gaza. Israel created massacre in Gaza. The dead bodies of Hamas fighters were laid out. Hamas bases in Gaza were completely destroyed. Hamas was hit so hard that it had to request a ceasefire. Today the situation is such that ceasefire talks are going on in Gaza. Hamas has weakened. He is no longer capable of taking on Israel. Israel killed Hamas Chief Yahya Sinwar and other leaders.
Shock to Hezbollah in Lebanon
After Gaza, Israel fought a war on another front. That was the war with Hezbollah in Lebanon. There was a lot of bloodshed between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israel and Hezbollah launched two-pronged attacks. Both of them bombed each other a lot. Netanyahu finally broke the back of Hezbollah. Israel killed Hassan Nasrallah. Destroyed many positions of Hezbollah. Destroyed a large part of Hezbollah’s stockpile of missiles and rockets. In this way, Israel had a big victory in Lebanon also.
Hurt Iran also
By breaking the back of Hezbollah in Lebanon, Israel killed two birds with one stone. Firstly, it broke the back of Hezbollah. At the same time it also gave a big blow to Iran. Iran has been the biggest supporter of Hezbollah. Be it money or weapons… Hezbollah has been jumping on the strength of Iran. Iran provided a lot of weapons to Hezbollah, yet it could not stand against Israel. Apart from this, Israel also assassinated Hamas Chief Ismail Haniya by entering Iran. Besides, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi was also mysteriously murdered in a helicopter crash. In this way Israel repeatedly eliminated all its enemies in the Middle East.
Israel’s revenge against Syria also complete
Iran has dominance in Iraq, Syria and even Lebanon. In the south, Iran gave strength to Hamas and in the south it created Hezbollah and Houthis. But Israel changed the picture of the entire Middle East by playing everyone’s band. Benjamin Netanyahu had said that he would change the face of the Middle East and he did so. Israel also played a role in the political crisis that arose in Syria. After the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government, Netanyahu took advantage of the opportunity. To further strengthen Israel’s security, he ordered Israeli forces to capture the positions in the Golan Heights that were previously held by Syrian troops. By doing this, Netanyahu wanted to prevent any enemy from entering near Israel’s borders. Netanyahu warned the new Syrian regime not to allow Iran to make inroads there or to provide weapons to Hezbollah. He said that Israel has no intention of interfering in Syria’s internal affairs. But if there is any threat to his safety then he will take necessary steps.
