19 years of marriage with the actor, mother-in-law has not accepted the daughter-in-law till date, ‘A commotion, a commotion…’

Some people even changed their religion for the sake of love, but do you know that a veteran Bollywood star got married 19 years ago. Both also have a daughter. But their struggle as a couple continues even today. The actor’s mother has not accepted her daughter-in-law even after 19 years of marriage. Because they married at a time when love marriage social structures did not allow it.

This actor is none other than Bollywood’s ‘Kaalin Bhaiya’ i.e. Pankaj Tripathi. Pankaj Tripathi has completed 19 years of marriage with Mridula. Recently she put forward the pain with which she has been suffering for years.

There was a fear that the family would not accept this relationship.
While talking on Conversations with Atul YouTube channel, Mridula revealed that despite the apprehensions of both the families, they decided to get married. She recalled how she first met the actor at the wedding of her brother, who was getting married to Pankaj’s sister. Mridula said that as their affection for each other grew, she was afraid that their relationship would not be accepted because she came from a family of high principles.

For the first time, Mridula has spoken openly about her relationship.

Mridula further said, ‘This is still not acceptable. We are not blood relatives, but in our culture, it is unacceptable for a woman to marry into a family of lower status if another woman is already married into such a family and because my sister-in-law’s marriage would have affected her position in my family. I was born above 100, so I could not get married in their family, which was considered to be of lower status.

Love blossomed during school days
Pankaj Tripathi’s wife further said, I was in ninth class and Pankaj was in 11th when they realized their feelings for each other. He further told that my family members had fixed my marriage with some other person. Then she decided to tell her father about her relationship with Pankaj. Recalling his father’s words, he said, ‘Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I don’t waste time looking for boys. But my mother and sister-in-law were feeling very sad about this.

With time, Mridula’s mother accepted her and Pankaj, but her mother-in-law did not.

Mridula further said that it took time for everyone to accept this relationship, but differences still exist. He said, ‘There was a commotion, an uproar. Sister-in-law was not happy, mother was not happy. They were worried about how he would take care of me. But gradually, they started accepting us.

‘My mother-in-law has not accepted me till date’
Pankaj, Mridula and their families have come a long way since those days and despite reservations, the couple has made peace with moving forward. Mridula told that my mother-in-law has not accepted me till date, for the reasons I had mentioned earlier. He is still troubled by this interaction. But what can we do about it now? After marrying in 1993, the couple welcomed their first child, , in 2006. Both of them have a daughter named Aashi Tripathi.
