What did the post say?
In this post, it was told that no challan will be issued for wearing half sleeve shirt, lungi-banyan, keeping extra bulb in the car, dirty glass of the car or driving wearing slippers. There is no provision of challan for all these in the Motor Vehicle Act.
What is the benefit?
However, if you drive with the right clothes and other wearables, then the chances of an accident are greatly reduced. Riding a bike wearing a lungi or slippers causes problems in shifting gears. Not being able to shift gears at the right time can lead to an accident. Riding a bike wearing shoes gives you a good grip on the brakes and gears. Similarly, if you ride a bike wearing a half-sleeved shirt, then in case of a fall, the hand can get seriously injured. Even though these things seem very small, but at the time of an accident, it can prove to be very big.
