Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for new admissions. Admissions and re-registration for July 2024 session. As per the notification, the last date for submission of forms is August 14, 2024. This extension applies to all programmes offered in both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online mode.
Interested students seeking fresh admission can visit the ODL portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and the online portal at ignouiop.samarth.edu.in for the registration process, while students seeking re-registration will have to visit ignou.samarth.edu.in.
On microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter), IGNOU posted, “The last date for fresh admissions for July 2024 and re-registration for July 2024 in respect of all programmes offered in ODL/Online mode has been extended to August 14, 2024.”

The move is aimed at facilitating a larger number of students who wish to pursue higher education through IGNOU’s flexible learning options.
For fresh admission, students interested in enrolling Graduate, Post Graduate, Diploma & Certificate Programs One can apply through the prescribed ODL and online portals. For re-registration, existing students who need to re-register for the next semester or academic year can do so through the re-registration portal. This process is important to continue your studies without any interruption.
IGNOU has also set up helplines and support centers to assist students with the admission and re-registration process. For any queries, students can contact the university support team through the contact information provided on the respective portal.
