The National Testing Agency on Thursday released the final answer key of the Common University Entrance Test UG. The results of the undergraduate entrance exam will be shared soon on the official website – exam.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG. The delay in the CUET-UG results comes amid a controversy over alleged irregularities in competitive exams including NEET-UG and UGC-NET.
The NTA had released the provisional answer key of CUET-UG 2024 on July 7. The re-exam was conducted on July 19 for over 1,000 candidates whose complaints were found to be genuine by the agency.
The NTA had conducted the exam for CUET UG in hybrid mode on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and 29. The testing agency had earlier said that the CUET UG result will be prepared and declared later based on the final answer key.
This year around 13.48 lakh students appeared for CUET UG in 379 cities including 26 cities outside India.
A total of 59 questions have been removed in the online mode exam this year, while 404 questions have been removed in the final answer key of the offline exam.
Meanwhile, NTA had announced that since there is no centralised counselling process, the agency will not publish the cut-off marks.
The user universities will decide the CUET UG cut-off for admission to various programmes.
Delhi University is also expected to postpone its UG classes till August 16, while Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) will see a ‘normal’ delay in the start of the first semester for undergraduate courses, according to Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh.
