The first look of the fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit web series Stranger Things has been released. The 1 minute 57 second video gives a glimpse of the cast while shooting for the show, with Millie Bobby Brown talking about her time on the show. On the set of the final season
The video features three new cast members joining the show – Nell Fisher of Evil Dead Rise fame, Alex Breaux of Waco: The Aftermath, and a newcomer, Jake Connelly. It also shows a glimpse of the sound stage where the cast is filming for Season 5 of the show. Caleb McLaughlin notes that they are only halfway through production right now, and there is a lot more to shoot.
The video also features a shot of the core group, played by Caleb, Finn Wolfhard, Gates Matarazzo and Noah Schnapp, gathered around a radio. Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Joe Keery gather around an overhead projector. Gates is seen wearing a Hellfire Club T-shirt in memory of Joseph Quinn’s Eddie Munson.
Millie Bobby Brown goes nostalgic
The video doesn’t show Millie with any of the other cast members. After showing throwback footage of all the cast members from Season 1, it shows Millie in a car being driven to a sound stage. She says, “So I started when I was 10. Now I’m turning 20 (this seems to have been filmed in February, before her birthday). It feels so weird.”
The video also shows several images of what appears to be the Upside Down. A crew member can be seen applying glue on the set. Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays Vecna, said that ‘Season 4 was huge’ but ‘Season 5 feels bigger’. Linda Hamilton of The Terminator-fame also said, “I love this show, I’m a real fan.”
Netflix has yet to announce when the final season will stream.
