New Delhi. Ever since Maruti Suzuki launched the 5-door Jimny in June 2023, the 4×4 has been facing a lot of difficulties in gaining a foothold in the market. Only 274 Jimny units were sold in May. After this, Maruti Suzuki has increased the discount to Rs 2.5 lakh. This offer may sound a bit too much. But, it is true.
The company is making every effort to clear the Jimny units. Last month, the company was offering benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. Maruti Suzuki has increased it to Rs 2.5 lakh in the month of July. According to a report by Financial Express, the top model, Alpha, is getting a maximum discount of up to Rs 2.5 lakh. This offer is available for both manual and automatic versions, which includes a cash discount of Rs 1 lakh as well as a promotional offer of Rs 1.5 lakh which is available only for Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance customers.

The entry-level trim, the Zeta, is getting a flat cash discount of Rs 1 lakh and an additional discount of Rs 1 lakh for Maruti Suzuki Smart Finance customers. These benefits are applicable for both manual and automatic variants of the Zeta.
Specifications of Maruti Suzuki Jimny
The Jimny gets a 1,462cc naturally aspirated petrol engine with idle start-stop function. Its output is 103 bhp and 134.2 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. According to Maruti Suzuki, the Jimny manual gives a mileage of 16.94 kmpl while the automatic version gives a mileage of 16.39 kmpl.
