Khargone. In Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, there is the only temple of Lord Pashupatinath in the city. There is a hand pump near it. No matter how much the underground water level falls in the city. No matter how severe the heat is, in the last 28 years, the water in this hand pump has never run out. Yes, water starts coming here just by turning on the hand pump once. Devotees also take water from this hand pump and perform Jalabhishek of the Lord.
Actually, Lord Pashupatinath has been established in the ancient Shri Data Hanuman temple located in the city’s Nutan Nagar. At the time of the installation of the Lord, a soak pit was made near the hand pump already present there. The construction has been done in such a way that the water offered to the Lord inside the temple falls directly into the pit. Due to which the hand pump never stops working.
constructed like this
Pandit Gopal Joshi, the priest of the temple, told local18 that in the year 1996, Lord Pashupatinath was consecrated in the form of a Shivalinga in the Shri Data Hanuman temple. Lord Shri Ram, Mata Sita and Lakshman, Hanuman ji were also installed. At that time, a 20 feet long, 10 feet deep and 15 feet wide soak pit was made to keep the hand pump alive. 5 trolleys of brick pieces and 3 trolleys of river boulder stones have been put in this pit.
The water level remains the same throughout the year
Devotees perform Jalabhishek of the Lord throughout the year. The water offered to the Lord goes into the pit through a pipe. This keeps recharging the hand pump. Due to which the water level here remains the same throughout the year. Whereas other hand pumps and water sources dry up.
Take these measures for water management
To make a soak pit, dig a pit according to the space. Fill it with brick pieces, boulder stones and sand and close it. During rains, put the water coming out of the roof into the soak pit through a pipe. 3. Plant trees in the empty space around the house. This will keep the ground moist during the rains. There will also be more rain.
