NEET PG exam cancelled: Amid the controversy over irregularities and paper leaks in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday said that the revised dates of the exam will be announced soon. neet pg 2024 Probably it will be announced by 1st or 2nd July.
Speaking during a press conference, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the NTA (National Testing Agency) has already got a new leadership and reforms have been initiated in the agency under the leadership of former ISRO chairman K Radhakrishnan.
He also said: “We have made a new law to resolve this issue, and the entire case has been handed over to the CBI.”
Pradhan further said, “The new dates for NEET-PG will be announced by Monday or Tuesday.”
The Education Minister also criticised the Congress, saying that it wanted to run away from discussion in Parliament on the NEET exam issue.

He said, “The issue on which the Congress wants to debate has been discussed by the President himself. He has acknowledged the challenges and shortcomings in the process and said that we have to look into them… On behalf of the government, I have clearly said that we are ready for any kind of discussion, but the Congress does not want to discuss the issue of students, they want this matter to keep burning…”
NEET UG 2024 exam was conducted by NTA on May 5 and around 24 lakh candidates appeared in it.
The NEET UG results were scheduled to be announced on June 14, but they were announced much earlier on June 4. This was followed by allegations of irregularities and question paper leaks in states like Bihar, leading to protests across the country.
Following the NEET UG controversy, the Ministry of Education had cancelled the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) and NEET (postgraduate) exams after it received reports that the “integrity of the exams had been compromised.”
