Bhubaneswar, May 14: The annual Times Higher Education Young University Rankings has been announced today. In a remarkable achievement in its academic ranking, KIIT Deemed University has moved up to 11th position in India in the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings for 2024. This move reflects KIIT’s commitment towards continuous improvement and excellence in higher education.
KIIT Deemed University, which is just 20 years old, has left behind many older and more established institutions, including several IITs. This achievement is especially significant considering the youth of the institution compared to other institutions which have been an educational pillar for almost half a century.
In last year’s ranking, KIIT was placed in the group of 151-200 globally. In this year’s ranking, KIIT’s global rank has improved significantly to 168. This year’s ranking evaluated 673 universities from across the world, of which 55 were from India, placing KIIT in the top rung of young universities. The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings specifically lists the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger, assessed across their core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
KIIT’s rise in the rankings is a testament to its strong academic structure and innovative educational practices. The university is consistently recognized for its dynamic approach towards education that emphasizes not only academic rigor but also the holistic development of its students.
