Russia Ukraine Peace Talks: Peace talks in Turki between Russia and Ukraine ended. Both sides agreed to exchange the bodies of 6,000 soldiers. Jailonsky confirmed the preparation of the exchange of prisoners.

Istanbul The direct peace talks of the new era in the Turkis ended on Monday between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine. The meeting lasted for a few more than an hour. Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky and Russian government media gave this information. An official said that in peace talks, Russia and Ukraine agreed to exchange the bodies of 6,000 soldiers killed in the war.
Jailonski said in the Vinius of Lithuania that both sides “exchanged documents through the Turkas and we are preparing for the swapping of the warfasts afresh.” Jailonsky said that after the previous round of talks on 16 May, 1,000 prisoners from both sides were swapped.
Andrey Yermak, head of Jailonsky’s office, said Ukraine has also submitted an official list of children to Russia, who has been said to be forcibly deported and should be returned.
Officials said the Ukrainian delegation was led by Defense Minister Rustom Umerov while Russian delegation attended the meeting under the leadership of Vladimir Medensky, a close aide of Vladimir Putin. Turki Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan presided over the talks and gave initial address at the Siragan Palace in the city.
Fidan said that the purpose of the talks was to discuss the terms of the ceasefire of both sides. America’s efforts to prepare both sides to accept the ceasefire have failed so far. Meanwhile, a fierce battle continued on the advance front of about 1,000 km (620 mi) and the two sides attacked each other in the area.
Ukraine’s Security Service stated that more than 40 Russian aircraft were destroyed within Russia in a Ukraine drone attack on Sunday, while Moscow attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. Russia’s Defense Ministry said on Monday that its Air Force killed 162 Ukrainian drones.
Ukraine’s Air Force said it destroyed 52 out of 80 drones launched by Russia in the night. The mayor of Kharkives, the northeast Ukrainian city, said that two ballistic missiles attacked a residential area in the city on Monday morning. A missile fell near a school.
