OTT releases to watch out for this week: From new seasons of some old favorites to digital releases of some hit theatrical films, there’s a little bit of everything this week. Squid Game (Season 2) – Netflix
The much-awaited second season of Squid Game started on December 26. Lee Jung-jae returns as Player 456, aka Seong Gi-hun, to avenge the events of the first season. With deadly new games, new competitors desperate for the prize money, will 456 succeed in taking down the organization?
Singham Again – Prime Video India
As DCP Bajirao Singham, Ajay Devgan faces a new enemy in Singham Again. His wife, Avni, played by Kareena Kapoor, is kidnapped by Danger Lanka, played by Arjun Kapoor. Singham sets out on a quest to bring her back home and joins his team of Avengers, starring Deepika Padukone as Shakti Singh, Ranveer Singh as Simba, Akshay Kumar as Suryavanshi and Tiger Shroff as Satya Are included. The film is streaming from December 27.
Doctor – JioCinema
This medical drama stars Harleen Sethi and Sharad Kelkar in the lead roles of Dr. Nitya Vasu and Dr. Ishaan Ahuja respectively. Set in Mumbai’s prestigious Elizabeth Blackwell Medical Centre, Doctors In highlights the ambition, love and personal vendetta of these doctors. The story revolves around two doctors with complicated pasts. Forced to work together. It will stream on December 27.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 – Netflix India
The third installment of horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan and Trupti Dimri in the lead roles. The film, which will stream on December 27, is a mix of hair-raising scares with light-hearted humor as it tells the story of Rooh Baba and Manjulika. The film competed with Singham Again during its theatrical release last month and topped the list.
Your Mistake – Prime Video
The 2023 film My Fault, Your Fault, a sequel to the film, focuses on Nicole Wallace’s Noah and Gabriel Guevara’s Nick who struggle to maintain their romantic relationship despite their parents’ efforts to separate them. Noah starts university while Nick focuses on his career, but new challenges come their way. Based on Mercedes Ron’s Culpables trilogy, Culpa Tua, the Spanish film will be released on December 27.
