Mexico Earthquake: On Wednesday, a strong earthquake shook people in the morning in the southern coastal state of Mexico (Chiapas). According to the European Mediterranean Earthquake Center (EMSC), the intensity of this earthquake was measured 5.8 on the Richter scale, and its center was located at a depth of just 10 kilometers within the sea, about 189 km south of the city of Tapachula. Although the blow came under the sea, it was well felt in the surrounding coastal cities and villages.

Although the intensity of the earthquake was severe, its center is currently being considered less likely due to the underwater and the seismic construction in the area. Local rescue teams are cautious and have been prepared for any emergency. Experts believe that Chiapas and its surrounding area is active for tectonic activity, where such geological movements are often recorded.
