Huawei is all set to launch its first tri-fold smartphone in China today i.e. on 10 September. The name of this phone is Mate XT and it looks like the most unique phone ever. The company had made the phone available for pre-order even before launching it and looking at its booking figures, it is clear how eagerly this phone is being awaited. According to the information received from the company’s official website, more than 30 lakh pre-orders have been received for this smartphone.
The surprising thing is that the phone has not been launched yet nor has the company revealed its price. Despite this, the phone has got bumper pre-booking. Some features of this triple foldable have been confirmed from the pre-order page. It has been learned that it will be made available for sale in China from September 20, and it will be available in two memory variants, 16/512GB and 16GB/1TB.

Earlier this week, Huawei released a teaser that revealed that the Mate XT will feature a sleek, thin design. When opened, users will get a tablet-sized screen that could be around 10 inches.
How can the features be
The Mate XT may be powered by the Kirin 9 chipset, which is designed for ultimate performance. This chipset is expected to have high-end artificial intelligence (AI) features. The back panel of the phone gets a vegan leather finish with ‘Ultimate Design’ branding and the chassis of the smartphone has a gold finish.

It is believed that Huawei’s Mate XT can give a tough competition to other companies in the foldable smartphone market. Especially South Korea’s Samsung can get a big challenge from this.
There is no official information about what kind of camera the Mate XT will have. However, it seems that the tri-fold may have a 12-megapixel periscope snapper like the Mate X5. The actual features and price of the rest of the device will be known only after the launch.
