Indian Institute of Management Lucknow received 576 offers to its postgraduate students when the summer placement process ended this week. The average stipend offered was With an average monthly salary of Rs 1.43 lakh per month 1,50,000.
According to reports, the highest domestic monthly salary was 3.95 lakh per month, while international offers top 1.75 lakh per month. IIM Lucknow offered a hybrid placement model with both online and offline options to ensure flexibility and convenience.
The summer placement process is offered to the 40th batch of Post Graduate Program (PGP) students and the 21st batch of Post Graduate Program in Agribusiness Management (PGP-ABM) students. The batch comprised 234 freshers and 342 students with adequate prior work experience in various fields.
The average salary for IIM graduates has stagnated in recent years—even declined for the batch of 2024The slowdown came even as these educational institutions increased fees for upcoming batches in view of rising costs and necessary changes in infrastructure.
According to a Mint report in mid-August, the average salary IIM-Kozhikode Was 27 lakh for the batch of 2022-24. This number is unchanged from the previous 2021-2023 cohort, but exceeds 26.5 lakh for students of 2020-22 session.
The campus placement reports of some of the older IIMs have also shown a decline in average compensation. IIM-Lucknow got its batch of 2024 27 lakhs vs 30 lakh (2023) and 29 Lakh in previous years (2022).
In a somewhat clearer development this week, IIM Ahmedabad is also facing a legal investigation. A student challenged the cancellation of admission to its two-year postgraduate program at a business school on technical grounds after completing three-fourths of his course. On the basis of his complaint, Gujarat High Court has now issued a notice to the college.
