The Indian motorcycle is set to launch its latest 2025 scout range in India on August 25, 2025. The announcement comes in June 2025 after launching the brand’s updated heavyweight range, including the chief, Sardar, Challenger, and Roadmaster. The scout range will serve as the most accessible offering for our noise-topping, catering, wrapped in a classic design with modern engineering.
The Indian Scout was first introduced in 2014 and has since played an important role in the brand’s global lineup. Located as one of the entry-level models of the brand, the cruiser has been one of its most successful offerings worldwide.
Indian Scout: Design and Variants
The Scout Family carries a classic, lidback cruiser silhouette with a round headlamp, a stretched fuel tank and a compact tail section. Depending on the variant, there are subtle changes in the style that separate each model. While India is expected to meet only two variants, Indian Scouts Classic and Scout Bobber, may be more on the proposal at the time of launch.
The Global Scout Range includes three more variants, including Sport Scouts, Super Scouts and Range-Topping 101 scouts. With its wide range, the scout range appeals to a broad spectrum of riders, with those who prefer a laid-back-back cruiser in search of a more aggressive ride.
Indian Scouts: Engine and Hardware
The center of the 2025 scout range has a new 1,250 cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, which is rebuilt from the ground. For 2025, the motor is re-designed pistons, large valves, and some weight-saving changes, transported between 105 hp and 111 hp depending on variants. Peak torque stands at 108 Nm, promising specific, strong and middle-range performance of the American cruiser.
The Indian scout appoints an aluminum centerpiece and a steel tube frame with a new sub-frame. The braking duties are mostly handled by the 298 mm discs in the front and rear in variants, while the 101 scouts get a twin 320 mm disc for a coupled stopping power. Wheels size vary by model, scouts using 16 -inch wheels at both ends with classic, super scouts and scout bobers, while 101 scouts and sports scouts have a 19 -inch front wheels for sharp handling.
With its launch, 2025 Scouts will become the cheapest model in the Indian motorcycle ‘India range, which is located under the lead and Sardar lineup. Heritage-inspired designs, modern features and relatively accessible pricing are expected to attract buyers from their mixture, who are looking for a premium cruiser option for models from the choice of Harley-Davidson and Triumph.
