New Delhi. Realme has launched its new smartphone ‘Realme P2 Pro’ in India. This new mid-range device will be available for under Rs 25,000 and will soon go on sale on Flipkart. Some discount offers are also being given with the launch, so that customers will be able to buy it at an even lower price. This Realme phone will compete with OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G, Samsung Galaxy M34 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, IQ Z7 Pro 5G, Motorola Edge 40, but the question is that all these phones are also in the same range in price and features and will they let Realme’s new phone survive?
The Realme P2 Pro is priced at Rs 21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, Rs 24,999 for the 12GB + 256GB variant and Rs 27,999 for the top-end 12GB + 512GB model. As a launch offer, customers can avail a discount of Rs 2,000 during the early bird sale on September 17 from 6 pm to 8 pm. The phone can be purchased on Realme’s official website and Flipkart.
Display and design
Realme P2 Pro has a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved Samsung AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate, 100% P3 color gamut, and 240Hz touch sampling rate. This display comes with Pro-XDR support, which provides better brightness and color contrast. Along with this, it also includes 2160PWM dimming and 1200 nits high brightness mode, which will make the screen easily visible even in sunlight.
Processor and performance
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset has been used in Realme P2 Pro, which gives it a strong performance. This phone is available in three storage options – 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. It uses LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology, which makes the data transfer speed faster. This phone runs on Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14, which equips it with the latest features and updates.
Connectivity and Camera
In terms of connectivity, the Realme P2 Pro supports 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, GPS and USB Type-C port. For photography, it has a 50-megapixel LYT-600 primary camera, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. For selfies and video calling, it has a 32-megapixel front camera.
Battery and charging
Realme P2 Pro has a large 5,200mAh battery, which supports 80W fast charging. This means your phone can be fully charged in just a few minutes. For security, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor, and the phone has a 4500mm tempered VC + 9953mm graphite 3D VC cooling system, which protects it from heating. The phone has received an IP65 rating, which makes it safe from dust and light rain, and along with this it also has “rainwater touch support”.
It will give tough competition to other smartphones of this range
The price of Realme P2 Pro starts at Rs 21,999, and there are many smartphones available in this segment which it can give tough competition to and eat up their share. Especially OnePlus, Redmi and Samsung smartphones can be its main targets, the list of which is given below.
The starting price of Realme P2 Pro is Rs 21,999, which is less than other phones in its segment like Redmi Note 12 Pro (Rs 24,999) and iQOO Z7 Pro (Rs 23,999). Premium features like AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, and 80W fast charging at such a low price make it a better option than other phones. An additional discount of Rs 2,000 in the launch offer makes it even more affordable, making it an attractive option for customers.
The 6.7-inch FHD+ curved Samsung AMOLED display of the Realme P2 Pro comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate, giving it a better viewing and gaming experience than the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G and Samsung Galaxy M34. The Pro-XDR support and high brightness of 1200 nits make it easy to use even in sunlight, which makes it stand out from other phones.
The Realme P2 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, which is one of the best processors in this segment. In comparison, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G and Samsung Galaxy M34 have less powerful processors. Also, the Realme P2 Pro has options for up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, making it a better option for heavy data users than other phones.
The 5,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging makes it attractive for those who need a large battery with fast charging. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy M34 has a larger battery but less fast charging. The charging speed of Redmi Note 12 Pro and iQOO Z7 Pro is also less than Realme P2 Pro, which could give this phone an edge in this regard.
The Realme P2 Pro’s 4500mm VC + 9953mm graphite 3D VC cooling system prevents it from heating up during prolonged use, which is an important feature especially for gamers. This feature allows this phone to perform better than other phones like the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite 5G and the Samsung Galaxy M34.
