15-year-old girl ‘sexually assaulted’ by teenage classmates in UP, victim reportedly escapes murder attempt

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted and threatened by two teenage classmates in a village here, police said on Sunday.

Police said the incident occurred on Saturday when the girl was returning home from school.

The girl’s family filed a complaint alleging that two teenage classmates sexually assaulted her. They tried to kill her but she managed to escape, police said.

The family said in their complaint that they also made a video of the girl and after editing it, posted it on social media.

Circle Officer Dr Ravi Shankar told PTI under sections 79 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman), 109 (attempt to murder), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional insult). Case has been registered. for inciting breach of peace), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act and the Information Technology Act.

The officer said that both the accused were arrested and further investigation is underway.
