Archeology experts have found a 12 lakh year old factory. In this, work was done to make axes from obsidian stone. Researchers say that they have found an ax making workshop at the Melka Contour Archaeological Site in Ethiopia. He has made this claim on the basis of archaeological remains found in the 12 lakh year old sediment layer of the site. According to him, this evidence of obsidian stone being shaped into deadly weapons so early in the course of human evolution is shocking. This had never been imagined before now.

When did obsidian become more widely used?
According to research, this is the first case of finding a factory for making such axes in the beginning of the Stone Age. This information is surprising that our ancestors learned to shape obsidian so quickly. Before this, evidence of making blades from flint had been found in medieval Stone Age ax making workshops found in France and Britain. According to the authors of the research, it was generally said that after the Middle Stone Age, there is evidence of extensive use of balsam stone. However, during the excavation of this archaeological site, the team found evidence of 578 stone tools after removing the layer of sediment.
