New Delhi. Maruti’s Wagon R hatchback is one of the best-selling cars in the company’s lineup. People like both its petrol and CNG versions very much. If we talk about last month only, the company has sold 17,850 units in April 2024.
Due to such high demand for Wagon R, the company has the biggest burden of supplying this car. Now information has come to light that the company has a pending order for 11,000 units of CNG version of Wagon RK. Let us tell you that the company is dispatching 16,000 units every month.
There is a backlog of 2.2 lakh cars.
According to a report, Maruti currently has an order backlog of 2.2 lakh units, out of which 1.1 lakh units are CNG running vehicles. The highest among these is Ertiga whose 60,000 units are pending. The carmaker has recently expanded the production capacity at its Manesar plant by one lakh units to meet the huge demand for this MPV.
Wagon R CNG Specifications
Wagon R CNG comes with Maruti’s 1.0-litre K-series petrol engine which generates 56bhp power and 82Nm torque in CNG mode. In the CNG version, this car comes only with 5-speed manual gearbox. The capacity of its petrol tank is 28 litres, while the capacity of the CNG tank is 60 litres. The company claims a mileage of 34.05 km per liter in Wagon R CNG.
