New Delhi. AI i.e. Artificial Intelligence is constantly in discussion in the technology world. At the same time, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) will be a more powerful version of the artificial intelligence existing today. It is being seen as the next level of AI. The declared mission of OpenAI is to create this Artificial General Intelligence. Demis Hassabis, co-founder and CEO of Google DeepMind, also has the same goal. Now Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is joining this race. However, there is no timeline as to when AGI will arrive or even a precise definition. Meta’s AI research group FAIR is building generative AI products in Meta’s apps. Meta’s goal is to bring AI breakthroughs directly to its billions of users.
In an interview with The Verge, Zuckerberg said, “We have come to the idea that to build the products we want to build, we have to build general intelligence. “I think it’s important to point this out because many of the best researchers want to work on more ambitious problems.”

Battle for AI talent
The battle for AI talent has never been more fierce. Every company in this field is competing for a very small group of researchers and engineers. People with the required expertise can receive attractive compensation packages of more than $1 billion annually. He says, “We have become accustomed to very intense wars between talents. But there are different dynamics here because a lot of companies are going for the same profile and a lot of VCs and people are putting money into different projects, which makes it easier for people to start different things externally Is.”
Meta will have more than 340,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs by year’s end
The most scarce resource in the AI field after talent is the computing power required to train and run large models. Zuckerberg is ready to be flexible on this issue. He told that by the end of this year, Meta will have more than 3,40,000 H100 GPUs from chip maker Nvidia.
