1. Strengthen your knees while sitting

Manisha suggests a simple seated leg lift. “Sit on a chair or sofa and lift the leg straight ahead, then lower it back down. Do this 15 times for each leg.” It helps activate the thigh muscles that support the knees.

2. Stretch with support

For gentle mobility, she recommends back-supported stretches. “Sit with your back supported, legs extended with a pillow under the knees and calves. Stretch and relax your legs 15 times,” she says. This reduces stiffness and improves circulation.

3. Activate calf muscles for better stability

Talking about another easy exercise, he said, “Take support of the wall. Raise your heels 15 times and lower them.” Manisha said this helps activate the calf muscles, improve balance and reduce pressure on the knees.

4. Reduce knee stress with ankle mobility work

“Lean your back against the wall, place your feet slightly apart, lift and lower the front of your feet,” shares Manisha. According to him, this move improves ankle flexibility, which helps reduce stress on the knee joint.

5. Massage for warmth and relief

She also recommends incorporating a soothing ritual, saying, “Massage with warm sesame oil in circular motions, preferably under morning sunlight.” Manisha explains that it helps improve circulation, relax stiff muscles and provide natural warmth during winters.
