Many big recruitment exams and entrance exams were conducted this year, with which came reports of paper leaks. The year started in February with the paper leak issue of UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam, after which the issue of NEET UG, CUET, Bihar CHO and SSC CGL came to light. UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024: The first case of paper leak case came to light in the UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination in February. About 45 lakh youth had applied for the examination. After the UP Police paper leak, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has canceled the recruitment exam. The paper was leaked just hours before the exam began on February 18. UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam papers were available between Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh. 244 people were arrested in this case.
CSIR SO, ASO Recruitment: Council of Scientific and Industrial Research had conducted the examination for recruitment to 444 posts of SO and ASO i.e. Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer in Uttarakhand and Rajasthan. UPPSC RO ARO Paper Leak: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission had conducted the preliminary examination of RO/ARO on February 11, 2024. UPPSC RO ARO exam was canceled after the paper leak issue came to light. Resorts were booked in Manesar in Haryana and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh for the candidates appearing in the examination. There, examination related facilities were provided to the applicants. After all the applicants gathered, they were provided with question papers and answer sheets.
NEET UG Paper Leak: NEET UG paper leak issue was in the headlines for many months. The medical entrance examination was held on 5 May. NEET UG paper was leaked and allegations of increasing marks of 1563 candidates were also revealed. After the release of NEET UG Result 2024, the candidates reached the Supreme Court. This year, cases of irregularities in NEET 2024 were reported in many states. The number of toppers in NEET UG revised result 2024 reduced from 61 to 17.
UGC NET Paper Leak: The UGC NET exam held on June 18, 2024, was canceled by the Education Ministry on June 19. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had informed that the UGC NET paper was leaked on the darknet and was distributed among the people through Telegram. To maintain the sanctity of the examination, the Ministry canceled the UGC NET paper and re-conducted it.
JSSC CGL Paper Leak: Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) CGL exam was held on September 21 and 22, 2024. On one hand, candidates were waiting for SSC CGL Sarkari Result, on the other hand, there was also talk of SSC CGL Paper Leak. , The candidates appearing in this examination claimed that the candidates had left the OMR sheet blank. This confirmed the indications of paper leak and rigging in the recruitment examination.
Rajasthan SI Recruitment Exam: 37 policemen and several others were arrested in the Rajasthan Police Sub Inspector (SI) Recruitment Exam 2024 paper leak case. Two gangs were exposed in the investigation of Special Operation Group (SOG). More than 7.97 lakh candidates had appeared in this recruitment examination for 859 posts in Rajasthan Police. The exam was held on 13, 14 and 15 September 2021. Then questions were also raised on the functioning of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
SSC MTS Result: The police had exposed a major fraud in the SSC MTS examination being conducted at the Purnia Digital Examination Center located at Gulabbagh Hasda Road in Purnia city of Patna. Acting on a tip-off that the center was being managed to conduct SSC MTS exam through fake candidates, the police raided the center and arrested seven employees of the centre, 14 fake candidates as well as 14 genuine candidates.
Bihar CHO Paper Leak: Bihar CHO exam was to be held on 1, 2, 3 December 2024. The examination held on December 1 was canceled after the paper leak issue came to light. So far 37 accused have been arrested in the Bihar CHO paper leak case. This recruitment was done by the State Health Committee, Bihar. Selection on contract was to be done through CBT examination. According to media reports, the centers were purchased for Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh were collected from the students.
Meanwhile, in June 2024, a law was implemented to stop the incident of paper leak. The law was passed in February 2024 anti paper leak law There is a provision of imprisonment of 3 to 5 years and a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh for using unfair means in public examinations. A fine of up to Rs 1 crore can be imposed for systematically leaking papers.
