International Women’s Day 2025: In order to make the special occasion of International Women’s Day 2025 more special, Vivo, a mobile -making Chinese company, has started a new initiative ‘Kanyagyan’. Its purpose is to make Indian young women a scared to make a career in Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The company started it on 5 March. The company said that without women in stem career, the country is losing almost half its scientific capacity.
Talking about the possibilities of this project, the company said that this project will not be focused only by giving women a scholarly, but in Vivo Vikas Vyagyan project, young women of underprivileged communities will also be given experience in mentorship, skill development and industry.
150 women benefit
In this project, not only scholarships, but also get the experience of working in the industry with guidance and scill development to women. Already 150 women have already been involved in it. It has more than 60% of such families whose annual income is less than Rs 1 lakh. In this project, a skipper is being given to carry forward the career in women stem.
Actually, the number of Indian women in Stem career is very less. Let us know that there are fields like software engineer, chemical engineer, data science, civil engineer etc. in the Stem career. In this field, the company has started this initiative to bridge the gap between women and men. Vivo also runs more scholarship programs. But they are all state levels. But Kanyagyan PAN is an indiaic project, for which all the meritorious students can apply.
