Jen, who herself has lost 23 kg or 50 pounds during her weight loss journey and managed to maintain it, explains what to do if you want to lose 9 kg in a span of a few months. Follow the don’ts. He highlighted that he did not mean 9 kilograms of water weight that could grow back the next day, but body fat.

Do’s and Don’ts to lose 9 kg in 4 months

Gen shared the video with the caption, “How to lose 20 pounds in the next four months so you can feel confident by May this year.” Here are the tips he shared.

1. Don’t stay hungry: Per Gen, she never starves herself and advises the same to anyone trying to lose weight. This is the fastest way to gain fat after losing weight.

2. Going to the gym several times: He also advised not to exhaust yourself by going to the gym several times a day.

3. Eating a calorie deficient diet: According to weight loss coaches, one should eat low calorie (about 500 calories less per day) to aid weight loss. She said that if a woman follows this plan, she should eat between 1,500-1,900 calories per day.

4. Pre-Planning Meals: General recommends pre-planning meals a day in advance to ensure you’re hitting your calorie and protein macro goals while still living a healthy and balanced social life.

5. Drinking Water: He advised his followers to buy larger water bottles to keep track of their water intake. Drink 16 ounces (about half a liter) of water after waking up and 16 ounces before each meal. The daily goal should be 1 gallon (about 3.78 liters) of water per day.

6. Weight Lifting: Instead of subscribing to a crazy fitness routine, subscribe to lifting weights three (maximum four) days per week and make a 60-minute walk per day a priority. You can do it on a treadmill or outside in the gym. You can also change your routine to two 30-minute walks at the beginning and end of your day.
