Delsey Rodriguez, born in the year 1969, has an old and deep connection with politics. His father, Jorge Antonio Rodríguez, was the founder of the Venezuelan Socialist League. Delcy studied law in Caracas and Paris. She is considered the Iron Lady in the Maduro government.
, Political rise: After Maduro became president in 2013, Delsey started as Minister of Communications and Information. Later she became the country’s first woman Foreign Minister.
, Economic Control: Since 2020, she is also the Finance and Economy Minister of the country. He has direct control over Venezuela’s oil sector and international trade.

opposition’s challenge
After Maduro’s departure, the biggest question is for the opposition. Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado has made it clear that she wants complete democracy, not just Maduro’s departure. He has reiterated his demand to consider Edmundo Gonzalez as the real President based on the election results. The challenge for Trump will be whether he will compromise with these stalwarts of Chavismo or press for handing over power completely to the opposition.
