Listed for 13 episodes, the latest season of Oshi no Ko is already approaching the second page of the TV anime’s 2.5D stage play arc. The way things are progressing, it looks like each episode will cover the events of four chapters of the original manga drawn by Aka Akasaka, with illustrations by Mengo Yokoyari.
As the first summer 2024 anime release, the beloved anime adaptation was a very colorful one with explosive action-packed visuals to go with a much more colorful and relaxed approach, despite clearly dealing with what was expected in a supernatural fantasy world with heavy themes and a lot of characterization of the main characters.
Ahead of the premiere of the new episode, officials released preview images of the series’ overall episode 13, “Telephone Game.” GEMM’s “Fatale” plays as the anime’s opening theme, while Hitsujibungaku’s “Burning” is the ending song.

Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 2 Release Date and Time
Following the anticipated Season 2 premiere on July 3, Episode 2 of the new Oshi no Ko chapter will be released on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 11 PM JST.

In Japan, Season 2 Episode 2 will be aired on Tokyo MX, BS11, Television Hokkaido, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi and other local television networks.
It can also be streamed on ABEMA, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus, Apple TV+, and other platforms in select regions.

However, the more accessible streaming window for international viewers is significantly smaller; they will only find episodes of the series on HIDIVE.
Oshi no Ko Season 2 Episode 1 Recap
The season 2 premiere finally introduced the Tokyo Blade arc, as several characters – Aqua, Kana, and Akane – took active participation in bringing the world of the action fantasy manga to life through the stage play adaptation. While Aqua played the role of Touki, Akane took on the antagonistic role of Sayahime.
In contrast, Kana cameoed as supporting character Tsurugi, who is much closer to the protagonist Blade, played by talented stage performer Taki Himekawa.
Discussion about the plot begins as the actors offer their thoughts on the compromises being made while translating the manga pages on stage.
Meanwhile, early rehearsals give a glimpse of the emerging rapport between the cast.
The upcoming episodes will open the doors for the eccentric Tokyo Blade mangaka, Abiko Samejima. She had earlier expressed her thoughts about changing the stage play script. Episode 2 is likely to witness some fiery drama between her and scriptwriter Gowa.
