WhatsApp is constantly working on improving its disappointing message feature. The company first introduced this feature in 2020, when the messages used to get the option to remove themselves after 7 days. Now according to reports, WhatsApp may soon bring such a timer option that will make the messages disappear even more fast. Currently, a disappointing message on WhatsApp can be set for 24 hours, 7 days and 90 days. But according to the report of feature tracker Wabetainfo, the company is now testing the new timer option of 1-hour and 12-hour. These options are currently in testing stage and are not available for common users.

1-hours disappointing message timer can prove to be very useful for those who share sensitive information. The messages sent from this feature will disappear almost immediately, which will reduce the risk of seeing by others.

The 12-hour timer is considered better for those chats that require quick reply but information is not very sensitive. This option can be perfect for event planning, coordination for short-term work and sharing temporary information. Also, if users want, the disappointing message can also keep the feature completely closed.

This option came for the first time in 2020
In November 2020, WhatsApp introduced a disappointing message feature, with initially on/off and 7 days option. Later, options of 24 hours and 90 days were added to it. Now 1-hour and 12-hour new timer options will give more privacy control to users.
