In an interview given to ANI, Urvashi was asked about the attack on Saif. While she expressed her concern for the actor, Urvashi faced criticism for showing off her diamond ring during the conversation.
Talking about Saif being stabbed in his Mumbai home, Urvashi said, “It is very unfortunate. Now the dacoit king has passed 105 crores at the box office, and my mother gifted me this diamond studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this small watch on my finger, but we don’t feel confident wearing it out openly. This is insecurity that anyone can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate.”
His comments caused a stir on social media with users coming forward to slam him. One comment read, “Urvashi seems totally out of touch, seriously confused.” Another comment said, “So he advertised to potential robbers that he had this very expensive watch.” Another wrote, “On behalf of Urvashi… I hope… there will be something wrong with this girl.” Another commented, “Delulu is the new Solulu. I want to be as ignorant and self-obsessed as her. Maybe my life would be easier that way. Ignorance is bliss for her.”
Urvashi issued an apology
On Friday, Urvashi took note of the backlash she was receiving for her comments and posted an apology note on Instagram. She said that she could not understand the seriousness of this issue at first.
“Dear Saif Ali Khan sir, I hope this message gives you strength. I am writing with deep regret and heartfelt apology. Until now, I was completely unaware of the intensity of the situation you are facing. I feel ashamed that I let myself get swept up in the excitement over Daku Maharaj and the gifts I received, instead of pausing to acknowledge and understand what you are going through,” Urvashi wrote in the note.
He added, “Please accept my heartfelt apology for being so ignorant and insensitive. Now that I have learned the seriousness of your case, I am deeply moved and want to offer my unwavering support. Your grace, dignity, and resilience during such challenging times is truly admirable, and I have great respect for your strength.
Expressing “deep regret” for her behaviour, Urvashi assured Saif and his family that her “thoughts and prayers” are with them.
“If there is any way I can help or support, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Once again, sir, I am truly sorry for my earlier indifference. I promise to do better and always prioritize compassion and understanding in the future,” she concluded the note.

Saif was stabbed to death by an intruder who allegedly entered his house on Thursday morning. The actor suffered multiple injuries, one near his spinal cord and the other on his neck. The actor was taken to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries. The actor is now out of danger and recovering. On Friday, Mumbai Police said that no suspect has been detained in connection with the attack.
