UPSC CSE 2025: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will discontinue the expanded application window for Civil Services Preliminary Examination (UPSC CSE Prelims 2025) Today, on 21 February at upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.
Originally, UPSC CSE Prelims 2025 registration deadline was 11 February, which was first extended by 18 February and then till 21 February.
“The last date for submission of cs (p) and if 2025 and ifos (p) 2025 has been extended to 21.02.2025 (06:00 PM). In addition, the 7 -day improvement window will now be available from 22.02.2025 to 28.02.2025, ”written in the recent notification.
UPSC Civil Services (Prelims) Examination 2025 will be held on 25 May 2025.
This year, the Commission will fill about 979 vacancies in various services through Civil Services Examination.
All candidates will have to make a one -time registration (OTR) profile before applying for the exam. The OTR profile is valid for a lifetime, and those who have made it can fill the application form directly.
There are two parts of the exam: prelims and main (written test and interview). Candidates can check a detailed plan and course for the exam on the UPSC website.
There will be a negative mark for wrong answers to objective-type questions.
UPSC CSE 2025: Who can apply?
Candidates who have graduation degree or equivalent qualification can apply for UPSC CSE 2024.
Those whose degree examination results have not been declared may also apply, but if they qualify for the interview round, they will have to submit proof of passing the degree examination.
Candidates with professional qualifications like Medical, Dental, Veterinary Science and equivalent will have to submit evidence of completion of internship.
Candidates with professional qualifications so far
Candidates with medical or any other professional qualifications who are yet to complete the internship will be allowed to introduce the UPSC CSE 2025 provisionally. If selected for the interview, they have to submit a degree certificate and proof of completion of internship.
Age limit: Candidates should be between 21-32 years on August 1, 2025. The upper age limit will be rested for the reserve category candidates as per rules.
Application Fee: UPSC CSE application fee is 100. Women/SC/ST/persons are exempted from paying the application fee along with benchmark disability category candidates.
Number of efforts: Unreserved category candidates can take UPSC CSE six times. OBC candidates can try the exam nine times. There is no limit to the number of efforts for SC or ST candidates.
