Gorakhpur: Now Vinod Van is going to become a new attraction for tourists in Gorakhpur, UP. After the elephant Ganga Prasad was shifted to the zoo, the Forest Department has prepared a plan to develop this area as a tourist destination. Many new facilities will be added here to enjoy experiences like adventure sports, camping and yoga practice.

Forest will open for tourists in February

Elephant Ganga Prasad was brought to Vinod Van in February 2023. After which the entry of the general public was stopped. Now, as soon as the elephants are shifted to the zoo, the cleaning and preparation of Vinod Van is in full swing. There is a plan to reopen it for tourists from February 2025.

Confluence of nature and adventure

The Forest Department has already prepared two cottages here. While three more cottages will be built. Tourists will be able to enjoy the calm and natural environment of the forest by staying in these cottages. Besides, tent camping facility will also be available. Where friends, family or office groups can have fun amidst nature.

New initiative of yoga and health

Two yoga centers will be built in Vinod Van on the lines of Ayodhya, in which 40-40 people will be able to practice yoga simultaneously. Symbolic enclosures made of eco-friendly bamboo will become restaurants and shelters for tourists.

New activities and facilities

Tourists will be provided facilities of bird watching, nature camping, adventure activities and Arogya Eco-Tourism Centre. Apart from this, Butterfly Park and Ayush Van will also become centers of attraction. To implement these schemes, the Forest Department has sent a proposal to the Tourism Department. The special focus of the Forest Department is on environmental protection. All construction work will be done with bamboo. So that this project is environment friendly.

Vinod Van will become a unique tourist destination

DFO Vikas Yadav said that preparations are being made to make Vinod Van a major tourist destination of Gorakhpur. Tourists coming here will be able to relieve their fatigue by staying close to nature and will return with a memorable experience. Vinod Van is ready for a new beginning from February. Where you will get a unique experience of the confluence of adventure, yoga and nature.
