Hypertension, or hypertension, is often called a “silent killer” because it rarely shows symptoms, but can lead to serious health complications such as heart attacks, strokes and kidney failures. Understanding and when to understand blood pressure reading, can save life – especially among women, who face unique risk factors in their life stages.

Learn numbers

General blood pressure:

Systolic <120 mm Hg and Dystolic <80mm Hg

Elevated blood pressure:

Systolic 120–129 mm Hg and Dystolic <80 mm Hg

Stage 1 High blood pressure: systolic 130–139 mm Hg or diastolic 80-89 mm hg

Stage 2 Hypertension: Systolic MM 140 mm Hg or Dystolic Ol 90 Mm Hg

Guidelines recommend introducing anti -epitensive drugs on low thresholds in individuals with additional risk factors such as diabetes or chronic kidney disease. The general target blood pressure is below 140/90 mm Hg, but for people with diabetes or kidney disease, strict control – below 130/85 mm Hg – is appropriate.

First line treatment options

Doctors usually begin treatment with either of the following: Theiazide diuretic, calcium channel blockers, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers (ARB). However, the drug is only one piece of puzzle. Lifestyle modification is a powerful and often underestimated.

Lifestyle changes: Natural remedies

You can naturally reduce your blood pressure by attaching at least 30 minutes to run, isometric exercise or weightlifting (which can increase blood pressure), limit salt intake to less than 5 grams per day, etc.

You can use pink or rock salt in moderation, but always make sure that iodized salt is part of your diet, especially among pregnant women and young children, to avoid thyroid issues.

Do not ask for processed foods, fried items and additional fat. Get 6-8 hours of quality sleep every night. Reduce screen time. Practice yoga or attention regularly to manage stress and anxiety, which can increase blood pressure.

Women of all ages can take charge

Avoid high-calorie, processed and salty foods.

Attach in sports or physical activity every day.

Carefully use hormonal drugs, pain relievers and steroids.

Educate young girls at healthy food and obesity and risks of PCOs.

Positively manage menopause with nutrition, mental welfare and regular check-up.
